What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a system of medicine that has been practiced in North America for over 125 years. It is a distinct form of primary health care that is patient-focused. Through a comprehensive intake, your ND will create a naturopathic assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Natural therapies that emphasize prevention, treatment and optimal health. Naturopathic Doctors treat people of all ages and using a functional medicine approach, will identify any biochemical and physiological imbalances in the body.
Naturopathic Medicine does not replace Conventional Medicine. Instead it helps to enhance the individual’s health by adding different components that Conventional Medicine may not offer. When combined, at times, Naturopathic Medicine and Conventional Medicine can work together beautifully for the benefit of the patient.

Services
Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) are healthcare providers that use naturopathic medicine to find the root cause of the disease, and support the body by stimulating its natural ability to heal. In terms of training in naturopathic medicine, it is in line with conventional medicine training.

It requires:
- An undergraduate degree
- Doctor of Naturopathy – Which includes over 4,100 hours of classroom training in basic medical science courses, naturopathic principles, and therapeutics. As well as 1,200 hours of supervised clinical practicum
